چکیده

Consider a public boolean function f : (X, Y ) → {0, 1} where X and Y are private inputs polynomial size. Let Mf be the matrix truth table of f . A protocol for securely computing f is a protocol between two parties Alice and Bob where Alice chooses x ∈ X and Bob chooses y ∈ Y , such that at the end each party knows f(x, y) but gains no more information about the other’s input. Such protocols have been known for decades for general (non-boolean, multi-party) f , for example using Yao’s garbled circuit protocol [1], but these protocols are unfair if one party aborts the computation early. If one party learns the result of f before the other and refuses to continue the computation, the result of the protocol is that one party learns the output and the other one knows that an abort occurred; this is known as being secure-with-abort. Since the development of secure-with-abort protocols a line of research has tried to develop fair secure computation, where an adversary gains little advantage by aborting early (where the definition of “advantage” has varied). An early result by Cleve [2] on the hardness of coin flipping showed that any protocol to securely compute the xor function gives one player an advantage of at least 1/r in guessing the function output, where r is the number of rounds in the protocol. This c Recently, a paper by Gordon, Hazay, Katz, and Lindell (GHKL) [3] revisited the problem of complete fairness, where aborting gives an adversary subpolynomial advantage. They gave two protocols for securely computing certain classes of functions with complete fairness. One protocol was restricted to functions with triangular Mf , but the other protocol applied to a more general class of functions.

Selective in VivoTumor Localization of Uroporphyrin Isomer I in Mouse Mammary Carcinoma: Superiority over Other Porphyrins in a Comparative Study1

Twenty-eight porphyrins were evaluated for tumor localization as delineated by fluorescence using a transplantable KHJJ mammary car cinoma in BALB/c mice as the tumor model. Five of the 28 porphyrins were found to localize and of these, one, i.e., uroporphyrin I (UROP I), showed a higher tumorskin ratio than any of the others; moreover, as no measurable DROP I was present in the gut, the tumori...

UROP: A Simple, Near-Optimal Scheduling Policy for Energy Harvesting Sensors

This paper considers a single-hop wireless network where a central node (or fusion center, FC) collects data from a set of m energy harvesting (EH) nodes (e.g. nodes of a wireless sensor network). In each time slot, k of m nodes can be scheduled by the FC for transmission over k orthogonal channels. FC has no knowledge about EH processes and current battery states of nodes; however, it knows ou...

Biologically Plausible Neural Circuits for Realization of the Maximum Operations

Object recognition in the visual cortex is based on a hierarchical architecture, in which specialized brain regions along the ventral pathway extract object features of increasing levels of complexity, accompanied by greater invariance in stimulus size, position, and orientation. Recent theoretical studies postulate a non-linear pooling function such as the maximum (MAX) operation could be fund...

Extrafoveal Cone Packing in Eyes With a History of Retinopathy of Prematurity

PURPOSE To study the density and packing geometry of the extrafoveal cone photoreceptors in eyes with a history of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). We used a multimodal combination of adaptive optics (AO) scanning light ophthalmoscopy (SLO) and optical coherence tomography (OCT). METHODS Cones were identified in subjects (aged 14-26 years) with a history of ROP that was either severe and tre...
